Sesame Seed Salmon with Mirin
A deliciously simple way to cook salmon fillets, sweetened with rice wine with a crisp topping of sesame seeds.

Preparation Time: 20 mins

Cooking Time: 8 mins

Serves: 2


2 salmon fillets

4 tbsp mirin

1 tbsp rapeseed oil

1 tbsp sesame oil

100g sesame seeds


Marinade the salmon fillets in a bowl with the mirin, rapeseed and sesame oil. For half an hour.

Put the sesame seeds on a plate and place the salmon flesh side down to cover the top evenly.

Pan fry the salmon for six minutes skin side down and then turn and cool for a further three minutes.
